Staying fit whilst in Sg/kl

So as some of you already know I was in Sg & KL for about 10 days whilst on my comp prep
it was my priority so stay lean and even get leaner as I was pretty much close to 12 weeks out and can't afford to take any steps back!

Whilst on my trip I found many ways and HEALTHY ALTERNATIVES that one can chose to take if you too want to be healthier, fitter or if you are even trying to lose weight and get lean

STARBUCKS HEALTHY OPTION
If you are a caffeine addict like me or if your luggage did not have space for you to pack your preworkout sups and you need aa caffeine boost try ordering these 2 healthier options at starbucks 

1 - (since it was my high carb day) 
Espresso frappe with SUGAR FREE vanilla syrup and FAT FREE milk. NO WHIP CREAM
Delicious and macro friendly ~ 

2 - (if you are going for the lower carb option) 
Just skip the milk and get an ice blended espresso frappe with SUGAR FREE vanilla syrup. No whip cream

INDIAN FOOD HEALTHY OPTION
If your family/friends are feasting on some yummy roti prata and you (like me) is craving some indian food whilst watching them 

fear not! There is a healthier option which is muchhhhhhh lower in fat 

DOSA/THOSAI 
It was my high carb day when I ate this too and I was trying to stay away from gluten and any wheat flours to avoid getting bloated sooooo 

Dosa was a great option for me!
Lower in fat (no saturated fat at all) and made from rice flour and black lentils (so gluten free!) 
Delicious and did not make me bloat

COFFEE SHOP HEALTHY OPTION


So everyone is having teh tarik, milo dinosaur and you are tired of drinking water
Try ordering just plain tea with lemon!
Make sure you tell them not to put any sugar syrup in it!
And then you have a pretty much calorie free ice lemon tea
Which is hydrating, healthy, delicious, has vitamin C and antioxidents

whats not to love?

 HAWKER CENTER/FOOD COURT HEALTHIER OPTION

in pretty much every hawker center and food court in singapore you can find these 2 shops
SLICE FISH SHOP
and
YONG TAU FU shop
Order a slice fish soup from the sliced fish shop (ask for extra fish) I think I asked for $5 extra
I weighed the fish and I managed to get just slightly over 100g of fish which was perfect for me
(yes I am a freak that brought my weighing scale to the hawker center)

and then head over to the yong tau fu shop and go crazy with tons of leafy greens and some toufu if you like

I had this post workout so I had some rice but you can skip the rice for a low carb meal ~ 

Lastly, FIND A HEALTHY FOOD PLACE 
There are more and more healthier places to eat coming up
of course there is always SUBWAY and NANDOS
(be careful what you order from subway though cause there are only some healthy options and the rest are pretty high in calories)

Nandos is always good because, chicken duhhh

I also saw a few design your own salad places around Raffles Place area
And there are a few specialty stores in KL which I forgot the names for as well but they do exist so try your best to find some !

the one I tried was called THE DAILY CUT located in One Raffles Place


They let you chose a few different sizes of boxes, the smallest one which I had consisted of
1 protein , 1 complex carb and 3 toppings

I ordered steak with sweet potato topped with quinoa, corn and tomatoes

So thankful for this place, ate there twice when I visited the FITNESS FIRST in One Raffles Quay
I was pretty much only in sg for like 4 days
Managed to only go to the gym 3 times
but thank you soooo much to Bryan from Fitness First who made it possible for me to get my 3 gym sessions in for free

and all the staff who were in Fitness First in One Raffles Quay who offered me very encouraging words and also measured my bodyfat percentage for me and all whom wished me luck for my comp!

anyone looking to join a gym should consider the Fitness First in One Raffles Quay I definitely recommend it!

Trip coming to an end !

Today is my last day on holiday before I head back to Perth yay!

Miss my boyfie , my doggy and my gym oh soooo muchhhhh 

I've been fairly good this holiday though I allowed myself some little snacks here and there 

Went on an undr armour shopping spree toooooo got a new bag, sports bra and new under armour undies omgggg 

Don't know why it took me so long to get them seeing as I always wear super tight pants, this is a must! 

Of course also got some goodies for my lovely bf can't wait to give it to him. 

On the way home from gym now for last family dinner which is my high carb day post workout meal so imma enjoy myself!

But first hopefully I can stop by Nike and try to snag some goodies

Happy cny !

Happy cny everyone ! 

I'm 12 weeks out now, and more stressed than ever to be on holiday 

I can't wait to get back to Perth and back to my gym!! 

Uni starts soon too so I have a lot to get sorted and will buy focus mainly on prepping for comp.

Hopefully no more distractions and will have to work on my stressing to keep cortisol levels down

13 weeks out + holiday

13 weeks out !
Bikini is ordered,
Shoes had to be sent back to get a 5 inch one instead
Posing classes date has been set
INBA membership bought
Comp jewellery bought in sg !

Its getting more and more real
Being on holiday is stressful because I need to concentrate on training and getting to the gym

In Singapore I was lucky got a free fitness first pass to try out
and then the trainer was nice enough to offer me free for my next 2 sg visits

Fitness First in sg is so nice and fancy
Would love if they had more olympic bar

Definately felt abit out of place being one of the few girls around the weights area
I felt big for the first time everrrr
normally in my gym in perth I feel like a tiny little baby amongst all the girls at my gym

So far no gym sesh since i've been in kl =(
I hope it doesnt affect me too much!
I did a HIIT session and tried to keep my diet very much on track

although I had to do alot of estimating I am under my recommended macros for my coach just to be safe

My hope is just to get leaner and maintain my muscle mass!

Made this delicious cookies and cream quest bar toastie! 

Ingredients 
Cookies and cream quest bar 
2 marshmallows 
Whole wheat wrap 

Pop it in the microwave to soften it 
Wrap it up
Put in it the toaster 

And we have the perfect little yummy protein snack !

Fail high carb day

Had Bestie's engagement party yesterday 
And although it was my high carb day I needed to keep fats low but I went over them again :(

High carb day not on pointe!
But it's okay I'll try again next time to make sure I'll keep it as clean as possible. 

3 more days till I fly off gonna hit macros on pointe everyday till then and eat as clean as possible !

Cooking essentials

Now that I'm on prep I try to include more veggies and lean meats (yes the chicken breast that I absolutely hate) into my meals but I refuse to do the plain caveman diet ew

I would die if I ate plain chicken breast and broccoli every day till comp day so that God for these spices! Garlic powder onion powder and cayenne peppers are my go to seasonings that I throw on chicken , fish, salmon and all veggies to add some flavor and nice aromas into !

Leaving in less than 5 days

I'm leaving to spend CNY with my family in sg/kl on Wednesday!
Happy that I get to see them but it is going to make my prep so much harder!
Going to pack my tub of protein and probably buy some quest bars to bring along too

Going to try to eat as clean as possible
But its super hard in sg/kl
Not mny healthy options around either but I guess ill try my best and see how it goes

Gonna try to get to the gym whilst im in sg as much as I can
And when Im in KL I probably stick to home workouts and try to do resistant band stuff as much as I can too

Guess i'll keep you guys updated on how I go with all that
But for now thats the plan! I hope to still stay lean and get leaner eventhough i'm on holiday

15 weeks out check in

Just 5 days into my new diet with my coach but I'm already feeling like a million bucks !

Today's breakfast

Had some smoked salmon, omelette. Zucchini and red peppers and a bowl of blueberries as my morning carbs! 

Pretty much helped me hit my meal 1 macros on point !
